My Laziness Is Building My List...!

If you're like me, you have a lot on your plate. Between work, family and everything else, I just don't have a lot of spare time. And sometimes I just don't feel like doing the things I KNOW NEED TO GET DONE!

Practical Online Business Ideas

Are you interested in starting an internet business? Do you have an idea already, or do you need some online business ideas? I have been building my own internet business over the past ten years or so and can share some real-life examples of what to do and what not to do.

Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. My wife Kerry and I call ourselves "The Couple Next Door" because we are just like you when it comes to internet marketing. Neither one of us has a degree in computers or in business. Instead, we have built up a large base of knowledge and experience when it comes to starting an internet business. It happened almost by accident when I was in my 40s. I started going to seminary and needed an income to support my family. So I began creating information products.

Online Business Idea #1 - Use the Knowledge in Your Head

The truth is that if we can do it, you can, too. Like I said, I have not always had an online business. For 20 years, I did home remodeling. Then my wife started up a little company called Curriculum Connection. She wanted to help other homeschoolers find curriculum to use. As it grew, she began asking me, "Steve, do you know how to build web pages? How can we get online with our products?" So I started working on it, and even though I was clueless at first, I quickly figured it out. At the same time, I was in seminary.

There we were over 2000 miles from home and with no family, no friends, and no job. We needed the income we were used to having from my remodeling jobs, and we needed it fast.

That got me looking for the perfect business. And I know that you probably have your hands full, too. You have a lot going on, but you can take your idea for a business and begin building it today. Soon you might even see your income surpass your current job.

Online Business Idea #2 - Write Out Your Expectations

So I sat down and wrote out my expectations for my perfect business. I wanted to create a product one time and then get paid for it repeatedly. I only had a small amount of time to work each week, so I needed to be paid well in that time. I needed a product that was easy for me, my wife, and my partners if I ever had any. I really wanted a business that would run automatically with very little input from me. I was looking for a weekly, even monthly, paycheck. I also wanted very few start-up costs. Sounds realistic, right?

You might say I had unrealistic expectations. But think about it. There is a business that would meet all my needs: creating and selling information products online. Once you have created it, you can sell it over and over again.

You start off by spending a little time packaging quality content, market it on the internet, and then sell it quickly and painlessly. You really could almost put the whole thing on auto pilot.

Online Business Idea #3 - Start Small

It was very low start-up costs. In fact, that is one of the questions I am routinely asked. "Steve, how much does it cost to start an online business?" For $15 a year for a domain name, and that is kind of high these days, and $50 a year for hosting, and $20 a month for an autoresponder, you can set up an online business. And that is really all it takes to get started.

So if you have an idea, start today! Take these online business ideas and begin to market your products. You will find yourself headed to more financial freedom.

Business Start-Up Advice For Entrepreneurs

Maybe you are reading this article in a cubicle somewhere. Or maybe you are surfing the internet on the weekend because you have an idea for a business, and all you need to know is what to do to first! Allow me to give you some business start up advice. Begin by nailing down what you will market as your information product.

That begs the question, "What is an information product?" An information product is any knowledge in your head that others would find valuable. Let me repeat that, any knowledge or experience in your head that others would find valuable can be packaged and sold.

Business Start-up Advice #1 - Utilize Lots of Mediums

You can share this knowledge with others through a variety of media. That can be a digital product, a physical product, an e-book, a video, an audio, or all of the above. Many of my products have an all of the above component. Some are written, some are videos, some are audios, some are multi-media productions.

Business Start-up Advice #2 - Develop Your Own Name

You must have at least one product that is your very own. Why do I say that? Because you want to build your own brand and not someone else's. I am okay with network marketing. That is fine. If you want to do Avon or Shacklee or Amway or whatever you want to do, go for it. But I still contend that you must have at least one product that is your very own so you are building your own brand and not necessarily someone else's.

You should be the one to control your business and your time. It is crazy to work for a small percentage of money or to let someone else tell you how to do things in your business. You should be in control and of your time and your products. When it is your own, you could keep anywhere from 90 to 95% of the profits.

Consider that all of the well-known information marketers have their own products. Guys like Dan Kennedy, Alex Mendoza, Ray Edwards, and Armon Moore have a product to promote to build their own brand.

Business Start-up Advice #3 - Get Out of the Time for Money Trap

And you get out of the trading time for money trap. A lot of you are in that trap right now, whether you are working a 9 to 5 job, or even if you are doing consulting. You are still trading time for money. When you can create something one time and sell it over and over and over, you get out of that trading time for money trap.

Business Start-up Advice #4 - Become the Expert in Your Niche

Imagine being able to give people information, an e-book that you have written, or CDs that you have made. Anything that sets you head and shoulders above the next guy. That is massive credibility for your offline business.

Imagine bringing people in through lead generation systems, and giving them a free report. Giving them something they can touch and feel. Your information products can bring in tons of leads and establish you as an expert in your niche.

Take the plunge and begin committing to paper the ideas you have in your head. Create information products from those ideas, and build your business. Then in a short while, you may be giving someone else business start up advice.

Internet Marketing 101: What's Inside Your Mind?

If you are not making money in your offline or online business, take a lesson in internet marketing 101 and look no further than what is inside your mind. Many people are going through the process of building their business, but they do not really believe they can be successful in it. They walk around with mental roadblocks. But there are seven things you can do to change your mindset. In this article, I will cover the first two.

Internet Marketing 101 - Be Thankful!

The first step is to be thankful. Develop an attitude of gratitude. Choose to be grateful for where you are and the things God has given you. This attitude can really influence your business.

Also, you can be someone who gives just for the sake of giving and not always to get something in return. You can be generous with your skills and abilities. You may wonder what this has to do with business, but it really is true that what is in your head affects the way you work each and everyday.

So are you thinking about being grateful? Or ways you can help others? I work with homeschoolers, and so one of the ways I try to give back is to help fellow homeschoolers pick the best curriculum. I enjoy being generous with my experience and know how.

Internet Marketing 101 - Be Thoughtful!

The second step is to be thoughtful. The stories in your mind reflect the stories in your life. In other words, the things that are going in your mind are going to infiltrate and influence the things that happen in your life. For example I have talked to several people after our webinars, and I keep hearing the same thing, "I don't really believe I can make money." This kind of thinking becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If you do not think you will make money, then you will not really put your whole heart into what you are doing. If you have some doubts about what you are doing and then try to promote your products, you will not come across as believable.

Similarly, you will want to think about what you are doing: are you building a business or having fun with a hobby? Are you serious about building it up or enjoying playing at it? Too often people who want to really build their business are merely playing at it. This mindset can change if you will being to be thoughtful about what you are doing.

Spend time thinking about your "why." Why are you doing what you are doing? I actually wrote mine down, and I got a picture of my family to go with it because part of the reason that I help with our family business is so we can have some passive income. We use it to spend more time with our family and to minister to others with mission trips.

So what is your why? Take some time this week and brainstorm some reasons why you are working on your business. Be specific. Instead of saying, "It is because of my family," say, "I want to go on trips with my kids and grandkids." You could also say, "I wan to be able to give money to those who are in need," or "I want to take mission trips at least once a year." Then, after you write down your list, go public with it.

Set Up An Online Business With 6 Simple Steps

If you are interested, you can set up an online business and make money doing it. All it takes is a little bit of guidance and some hard work. But once it is set up, you can really do well. One of my favorite ways is to sell "one off products." I use the information in my head about a topic. I'm very familiar with, host a webinar, or a teleseminar, record it, and then sell it over and over again.

When promoting a one off product, you will want to follow these six easy steps.

1.) Pick a familiar subject. It should be something you can talk about for at least one hour, and I am convinced that everyone has a topic like that, whether it is pie making, photography, or automobile repair. No matter the topic, keep it simple because your goal is to quickly put out some good, helpful content that will generate cash flow.

2.) Create an outline. Let me give you a simple way to do this. Get out a sheet of paper, and write your topic in the middle of it. Then brainstorm some subtopics for your main topic. Write these down and see if you can come up with two good details about each one of these subtopics. You need maybe eight to ten subtopics with two details for each one. Once you have those, you have an outline for sixty-minute presentation. How easy is that?

3.) Connect with a free teleseminar service. You can find on to use for free and will allow you to host up to 250 people at one time. When I first started my online business, I could only host 100, so this is a great improvement. Remember to record your seminar an download it at the end.

4.) Tell people about your teleseminar. But who exactly do you invite? Your website, blogs, and email lists are a great place to start. I would just go nuts with this stuff and tell everybody I know that I am having this wonderful teleseminar.

5.) Sell tickets to your teleseminar. I gotta credit Jim Bob Howard for sharing this with me. There is a great sight called Event Bright, and it is free to use. Your customers pay Event Bright, and then Event Bright pays you. But the beauty is you do not pay any money until you start making money by selling tickets. They save you a lot of hassle.

6.) Record your teleseminar. Do it one time, and then use it over and over and over. You can sell the recording as an audio CD. You can have the recording transcribed and sell it as an Ebook. You can sell it together, the audio and transcription, for more money. You can combine one off products into a home-study course. There are really an endless steam of options you can come up with to make more money off of your one recording.

Article Marketing: Your Key To Starting An Internet Business

Do you have an idea rolling around in your head? Would you like to know how to start an internet business? It is actually very easy, and something you can work on today.

In the past few years, I have begun a number of businesses. I have even been able to help others get their businesses off the ground, and each time I get started, I always use article marketing. I do this because well-written articles will bring in high search engine rankings and in turn more traffic to my site. Let me show you why it works.

1.) Articles can be submitted to an authority site such as Ezine Articles.

Because this site requires original content, Google ranks these submissions higher than others. Often within a few weeks after I submit an article, I see it ranked high. My articles are usually 300 to 700 words with a resource box pointing directly to my website. The authority of these sites build my reputation as an expert on webinars.

2.) Articles can also generate direct traffic to your website.

Lots of people with blogs and websites pick up articles from these directories and post them. For example, pretend you have a website about dogs. Other people with related sites like puppies.com, dogs and more dogs.com, or a dog blog will come and get your article. They post it on their site with your resource box, and then when people read their blog, you get free advertising. Their readers click on the link to your site, and voila! You just got free and easy traffic.

3.) Articles can build up backward links.

A backward link is like a vote. Many times my pages and my interior pages show up in Google because lots of other people have posted my articles to their sites. For each one of these, I get a backward link, and as I start to amass backward links, I rank higher and higher in Google.

Getting on the first page of the search results for your keyword and staying there are two different things. There are lots of other people competing to be on the first two pages, and the competition is fierce. Article marketing can be the best tool to keep you on top.

Learn Internet Marketing: The Truth Behind Affiliate Sales

I have been an entrepreneur for many years, but my greatest success has come since learning internet marketing. In the time I have been working my internet business, I have found the quickest way to make money is through affiliate sales.

Before you discount this as a good option, let me outline a simple way to approach this idea. From my experience, you can begin generating cash flow this week so that you can afford domain names and outsourcing some of the details of your business. For example, you could outsource email, article marketing, and webinar setup just to name a few.

The first key is to find something to recommend. It should be something inexpensive that you can comfortably recommend to others. You don't want to recommend a big ticket item right away, but instead start out small and build up to it. You want your list to trust you and rely on your recommendations. Look at the sales page for that product, and you will be able to tell whether or not it is appealing.

The second key is to know what issues your list is looking to be solved. What I am trying to say is to figure out the problems your readers are dealing with and how you can help them. For the answers, I usually go to niche-related sites, forums, or even social networking sites to see if I can find the answer. When I am willing to do this extra bit of research, I end up with more sales because I understand where my readers are coming from.

The third key to affiliate sales is to write a recommendation. Let me give you a sample outline. When you write a recommendation for an affiliate product, be sure to include the following: what does it do, how does it benefit the reader, how does it compare with similar products, what did you like about it, what did you not like about it, and what is your overall ranking? You can then post your review on your blog or other website, but the whole point is to make sure it is on your site with your affiliate link and then drive traffic to your review.

The fourth key is to tell people about your recommendation. For this you will use your own website or blog. Wordpress and blogger are two great places to get a blog if you do not already have one. Also, you can use your email contacts as your "list," and send out your recommendation to them.

The fifth key to affiliate sales is to supercharge the whole process with search engine optimization (SEO). You want to rank in Google for keywords people would use if they were about to buy. These are different than general keywords. When you use "buyer" keywords, you can optimize your recommendation post or web pages by using them in the post.

Without a doubt, affiliate sales can be a quick way to begin earning money. If you work diligently on these steps, you will see cash flow this week.

How To Submit Articles - Secrets Of Internet Marketing Basics

Whether beginning an online business or making your current one more profitable, do you know internet marketing basics? You can have greater success if you will use a few key principles. Following a step-by-step course is one of the best ways to get started, and your best bet is to find a course that has proven results.

To begin with, you will want to submit your articles to a website called Ezine Articles. Because of the authority of this site, Google ranks articles here higher than others. It likes anything from Ezine because the site requires original articles which cannot be found in other directories. So be sure to submit to Ezine first. You can even create a template so that your process is easier.

Once your article is approved, you can use that same article to create a webpage. You can rewrite your article and post it to your business blog. This gets your article out to your list.

Next, take the second version of your article and submit it to other article directories. I use Articles Base and Article Snatch in addition to posting on Ezine. I have noticed that my articles on these three sites routinely get ranked high in Google.

When you post, rotate your article titles and resource boxes. When you rotate your resource boxes, you use different backward links to direct traffic to your domain. This can also increase your rank in Google.

Submitting articles is a popular and effective way to drive traffic to your site and also get backlinks. All it takes is some well-written articles, submitted to just the right directories. Why not begin today?

Starting An Internet Business Made Easy!

These days a lot of people want to start an internet business, but they are not always sure exactly what to do first. I encourage them to focus on the most crucial component: keywords. Everything begins with keywords. You write articles around the keywords people are actually looking for in the search engines. Then Google and the other engines post your page higher in the rankings which then drives more traffic to your site. With greater traffic comes greater sales. It really is that easy.

So it makes no sense to just pull keywords out of thin air. People will not find your articles that way. Once article can include up to five or six keywords, so I let the keywords dictate what I write about. All that matters is what people want to know. If you keep that in mind, you will get very rich on the internet.

You also want to use your top keyword in the title of your article near the beginning. For example, if you do a search on "webinar strategy," you might find this article, "Webinar Strategy - Four Ways To Promote Your Business." Someone looking for information on webinar strategy will find this article and read it because it is exactly what they are looking for.

Remember your title serves two purposes. It should have the keyword in it, but it should also generate some curiosity because you want people to read your article. You want them to see you as an expert on the topic, and you want to get the backward links.

One more use for keywords is to include them in various places throughout your article. You can even use your less competitive keywords, and Google will rank your article higher for those. Think of it as getting the most bang for your buck.

So begin by doing your research. Figure out exactly what people are typing into the search engines for your niche. Then use those keywords as much as possible. You will see a difference in the amount of traffic AND your sales!

Webinars are one of the most effective communication tools of all time. Imagine creating your own webinar and presenting your ideas, products or services to hundreds (even thousands) of people at the same time! You are just a few easy steps away from maximum communication efficiency!

Step 1: Create a webinar presentation that gets people to take action.

Whether you are using the webinar to sell condos or tell them you are the best dentist in town, every webinar should have a call to action. That "call to action" could be go to my web site and buy my product ...or it could be pick up the phone and schedule an appointment, but the goal of every webinar is to get the webinar attendee to DO SOMETHING! Never forget this.

Create a powerpoint presentation that educates and engages your attendees. Tell them exactly what you want them to do and how to do it. This is the most fundamental rule of webinar planning.

Step 2: Pick a webinar hosting company.

Choose a webinar hosting company that accommodates your needs and your budget. There are quite a few to choose from. If you anticipate less than 1000 attendees and you plan on doing several webinars in a year, I suggest using GoToWebinar.

Step 3: Set up your webinar.

Once you have chosen a webinar host, you need to know how to set up your webinar. The webinar host will have a set up page that will ask you for a webinar title, description, date and a time. It will also ask you to set up any polls or surveys.

A poll is a great way to interact with your attendees. For example, you could ask, "Are you facing any of these obstacles in your field?" You could then give four possible obstacles and let your attendees vote for the one they face the most.

This is a great way to get your attendees to admit they have a problem that is not easily solved. And when you show the results of the poll live on the webinar, it is great social proof that they are not alone and that many also struggle with this problem. They are also in a better place to ask for help by purchasing your products or services!

Another great tool when setting up your webinar is the exit survey. Ask them if they enjoyed the webinar and what was their biggest take-away from the webinar. This is a great way to generate instant testimonials for your webinar replay or even your next webinar.

You can even ask if they think their friends and family would like your products or services. If they say "yes," call them as soon as your webinar is over. You have a good lead, and you will want to act on it as soon as possible.

Step 4: Upload your registration web page.

After you set up your webinar, you need to invite your attendees. You can use the generic registration page that the webinar hosting company gives you, or you can create your own. I prefer to create my own so I can control the look and feel of the registration page. This also allows me to differentiate myself from all the other webinars out there.

Here's a great tip: require FULL CONTACT information on your registration page. Then before the webinar begins, you can send them a reminder phone call. Afterwards you can follow up with your attendees because you will have their mailing address.

If you feel up to it, you can even offer a special price or package to encourage more sales.

With a few "webinar how to" tips, you can easily host your own. The beauty is they can explode your online or offline business and at a conversion rate that beats almost any other marketing strategy. I have seen anywhere between 10 and 30% of attendees become buyers. Are you interested in this kind of conversion? Great! Read on, and I'll show you what you need to host your own webinar.

The first step is to put together a dynamite powerpoint presentation. In it, you will want to keep a balance of giving enough content that your attendees feel like their time was well spent but also creating a desire to know more, even leaving some questions unanswered.

To be fair, you could not possibly present everything about your niche in just one 60-minute webinar. Nor could your attendees learn everything in that same amount of time. So it is to your benefit and theirs to offer an opportunity for "continuing education" at the end of your webinar. This education could come in the form of a book, an ebook, a home study course, or your services.

So, when creating a webinar, you need to balance the need for sharing good information with creating a desire to know more about your topic. And that desire to know more should translate into product sales.

The second webinar how to step is finding a webinar hosting platform. There are a variety of webinar hosting solutions for all types of budgets. Choosing the right one for you depends on how you will use it. If you plan on having a lot of people at the same time (over 1000), a pay per attendee per minute may be the way to go.

The best place to start is your existing email list. But what if you don't have an email list? Now you know better! Lucky for you there are companies that can help you build this list. If you give them your customers' physical addresses, they can return an email list to you.

After your own email list, visit blogs, forums and Yahoo Groups that cater to your target market. Write a content-driven post or answer a question, then leave the webinar invitation in your signature. In fact, announce your webinar in all the social media places and even submit an online press release.

There are a few webinar tools you will need to run a professional and effective webinar. Because the effectiveness of your webinar begins with the webinar set up.

1.) The first webinar tool you need for creating your webinar is a webinar set up sheet. On this sheet you need to list:

- your webinar objective

(sales, a phone appointment, education?)

- your webinar title

(this should be benefit driven)

- what you plan to cover on your webinar

- "your story"

(credentials or how you had the same problem and overcame it)

- case studies

(results of how you, or the people you have helped, have solved the "problem")

- education

(killer tips and tricks they need to know to help overcome the "problem")

- road blocks to success

(obstacles that will keep them from solving the problem)

- call to action

(what do you want them to do? Visit your web site and buy your product or service? Call your office for an appointment? Sign up for a paid webinar class?)

2.) Another webinar tool is a powerpoint template for your webinar ppt. Creating a webinar ppt is easy if you include these items:

- background graphic

Have a graphic made that sets you apart and conveys the message of the webinar. Paste this graphic as the background image on your master slide.

- your picture

Again on the master slide, insert your picture in the top left corner so that people can identify with you as a person. It also helps the audience to link a face with your voice.

- bullet points that show when you mouse click

Use the "custom animations" feature in Powerpoint and make each line appear upon mouse click in the master slide.

- call to action url

In the master view, add a url at the top so that the "call to action" is available on each slide. The call to action should lead to a web site where your audience can take an action (buy button, phone number to call, email option form, etc.)

3.) To set up a webinar, you need the following tools:

A webinar hosting account lets you present your audio and video to hundreds of people at the same time. A few webinar hosting companies include: GoToWebinar, Manexa, Omnovia, Web Ex and Adobe Connect

- registration web page

You can use the registration page given to you by the webinar hosting company or you can create your own (recommended). Remember to use benefit-driven language to entice them to register for your webinar. "What's in it for them?"

- autoresponder

You want to remind them of the upcoming webinar (even after they register). And you definitely want to follow up with them AFTER the webinar with your call to action.

Webinar Strategy - The Do's And Don't's!

Webinar strategy. Get this wrong and all your hard work will be for naught.

First, what do you want to accomplish with your webinar? Do you want to educate your audience? Do you want to sell your products and services at the end? Do you want to train existing customers or employees?

Different goals require different webinar planning and webinar strategy. For example, if you are trying to educate your audience about your product or service, do you have a "call to action" included? Meaning, are you asking them to do something with the education they have just received? Like, call your office, visit your website, or click on a "buy it" button?

If you are trying to sell a product on your webinar, design your webinar presentation with the pitch in the middle and your best points at the end. That way, they will remain on the webinar through the pitch in order to get to the best points at the end.

Another webinar strategy (especially for professionals who are selling their services) is the "how to choose a qualified professional" webinar presentation. List ten essential qualifications for choosing [your profession] and then make sure you are the only one that meets all ten qualifications! You determine the qualifications, and you choose the top ten that ONLY YOU meet!

Another webinar strategy is to explain a very complicated process and then, offer the "done for you" service at the end. Tax attorneys could design a webinar about the top five tax changes for the coming year and explain them in great details, even down to which forms to file by what deadlines.

Then, after you explain everything they have to do and warn them of the penalties if they do it wrong, offer to do all of it for them for a reasonable fee. You will have educated them and relieved their burden at the same time! This could work for just about any service professional.

One more webinar strategy is pre-qualification through education. Imagine a webinar presentation that educates the prospect about your products and services BEFORE they get on the phone with you. They will be pre-qualified, and they will see you as the expert in your field. After all, you are the only service professional that they have seen on a webinar.

A good example of this would be lasik eye surgery. A 60-minute webinar presentation with question and answer at the end would go a long way to screening the serious prospects from the people who are just looking. And the call to action at the end would recommend they call your office for an appointment to see if they are a qualified candidate.

Imagine the applicants you would get if they were devoted enough to sit through a 60-minute webinar and then pick up the phone to call your office! Your closing ratio would go through the roof!

Hopefully, you are seeing the huge possibilities that good webinar strategy and solid webinar planning can open up for you. If you design your webinar with right goal in mind and include a call to action in your webinar presentation, there is no end to the amount of qualified customers and leads you will attract!

How to run your own webinars ..that is the question.

First, you have to put together a compelling presentation that causes your prospective customers to take action. You see, it's not enough to educate your audience. You can be the most beloved "teacher" on the Internet and still not grow your online or offline business through webinars.

You have to walk the fine line of giving really great content as well as asking them to DO SOMETHING at the end of your webinar. That can be visiting your website, picking up the phone or driving over for a visit.

After you create a killer presentation, you have to find a webinar hosting company so you can present your information to hundreds of people at one time. There are several good ones out there including GoToWebinar, WebEx, Adobe Connect and few others. Or you can hire individuals to run your webinar for you.

Also, there are webinar "how to" courses that show you every step and give you the reasoning behind each one. Make sure you choose a course that has lots of step by step video so you don't get lost. Then turn the course over to your techie person, employee, secretary or teenage kid and have them learn how to setup your webinar!

Next, you have to have a way of recording the webinar so you can show the replay. Let's face it, not everyone will be able to attend your webinar "in person," so you can pick up a few more sales by offering a replay.

Now here's a million dollar tip: Always have a reason to "buy now" in your webinar. Either the sale price is expiring in 48 hours ...or you only have a limited amount of appointments left ...or an extra special bonus will expire at the end of the week ...anything to get them to take action immediately after the webinar.

And that's why you want them "live." A webinar is a live event and you control when they see it and what rewards they get for taking action. That is how a webinar differs from a video they can watch any time they want. Even a webinar replay is released with the understanding that a deadline is looming right around the corner.

And finally, you want to follow up with your webinar attendees. If you ask for full contact information, you can send those that didn't buy a postcard, direct mail piece or even pick up the phone and call them.

Think about how qualified a webinar attendee is ...they just spent 60 minutes listening to you on a webinar. Do you think they are pretty interested in your product or service? All it takes is a nudge to get them to buy.

How To Record Your Webinar - Professional Tips and Tricks!

Trying to record your webinar?

Let me show you a few tricks, but first, here are some reasons why you would want to record your webinar in the first place:

- Replays

Many people who couldn't attend your webinar live are still interested in your products or services. So, providing a replay is a great way to get more sales and even have your customers pass the replay along to others virally.

- Product Creation

A webinar recording makes a great stand-alone product when you upload it to a password protected site or burn it to a CD.

- Training Module

This one is related to "product creation" above. Record a webinar so you can add the recording to an existing product or perhaps extra training on a specific topic. You could even record webinars and use them as bonuses to give away with the purchase of one of your major products.

So, how to record a webinar?

Some webinar hosting companies have a recording feature built in, but you always want your own recording as a back up. And strange as it may sound, your recording may higher quality.

Step 1: Login into your webinar host as the organizer and start your webinar.

Step 2: Using a SECOND computer, login as an attendee to your own webinar.

The second computer needs to have screen capture software such as Camtasia so that you can capture your webinar that is now showing on the screen. Screen capture software will capture all of the video and audio from your webinar - and allow you to turn it into whatever file type you need.

Step 3: On your second computer that is recording your webinar, set your screen parameters and audio settings and hit "record."

Make sure you set your audio to record "inline" and use a 1/8 to 1/8 audio jack to "trick" the computer into recording only the webinar and not your voice when presenting on the other computer. Otherwise you would have to out the recording computer in another room that is completely quiet!

But if you plug one end of the 1/8" cable into the mic jack and the other end of the 1/8" cable into the headphone jack, you can set the recording computer right next to you and even see in real time what your attendees are seeing. This helps with lag problems and is a great safety check when presenting live.

Step 4: When finished recording, render the file either to burn to a CD or for uploading to the Internet.

You can also spice up your recording by adding music on the front end and back end. Make sure to use royalty-free so you don't get in trouble. You can also add a "call to action" on the web page that has your webinar replay. This way, they don't have far to go when they watch your replay and want to buy!

So, record your webinars and start watching your online or offline business explode using webinars!

Want to host a webinar? Great! There are three things you must do in order to successfully hold a webinar...

Host a Webinar

Before you can show your information to hundreds of people at the same time, you have to choose a webinar hosting company. There are several including GoToWebinar, Web Ex, Omnovia, Adobe Connect and so on.

Most webinar hosting companies require your attendees to "register" for your webinar. You decide how much information you require for the registration, but here is a million dollar tip. If you require FULL CONTACT information, then you can remind your attendees the day of the webinar with an email ...or even an automated phone call using VoiceShot. How cool is that!

And if you have required their address as part of the registration, you can send them a piece of direct mail after the webinar to encourage more sales. You could even pick up the phone and call a few of your attendees to generate more sales!

So a webinar hosting company not only allows you to "register" your attendees, they also provide the technology so that your attendees can see your computer screen and hear your voice (either over the phone or by computer mic).

Conduct a Webinar

Once you chosen your webinar host and set up your webinar, next you will actually conduct your webinar. Usually this means your power point in "slide show" or "presentation" mode, but don't be afraid to show other things such as a spreadsheet, your favorite web sites on the Internet and even a video or two.

Here's a warning about videos. Full-motion video will lag on most webinar hosting platforms, but the sound won't. So if you have a testimonial from a successful student or client you want to show, go for it! The video portion may not be in sync with the audio, but they will see the person and hear his voice and that is very powerful for sales.

Another tip when conducting a webinar is to use the "polls" feature. Your attendees will love the interaction and you will get a good sense of where their obstacles are. If you identify their problem and then offer the solution, you will have a VERY successful webinar!

Produce a Webinar

After your live webinar, you want to make a replay available. Not only is this common courtesy for those who could not attend live, but you will also generate more sales because some will watch it over again and even share the webinar replay with their friends.

So, to produce a webinar replay, you need to record the webinar on a separate computer using a software called Camtasia. The second computer logs in as an attendee, hit the record button and away you go.

You will want to separate the recording into 8-10 minute chunks to avoid buffering problems for your viewers and then render the files in swf format. Camtasia allows you to combine these swf files into an attractive table of contents that makes it perfect for replays.

So there you have it...host a webinar, conduct a webinar and produce a webinar. It is really not that complicated and can make  you a ton of money if you do it right!

Using A Free Marketing Webinar To Have A Postive Rolling Launch

In my past articles I explained the four types of webinar models. In this article I will discuss the fourth and final webinar model and how to get started with a free marketing webinar. I am familiar with this type of webinar because I use them each time I am going to launch a new product.

The overall concept behind this is that you can use a free webinar as a marketing tool for a new product. After this you can then record the number of people who listened to that marketing webinar. The webinar will serve as a check to see how many people attended and how many people bought the product. This will be a golden opportunity for you to use the information as a basis to develop stronger bonds with your joint venture partners.

You will be able to do this based on the fact that your product generated sales, and this can be validated by the information that you sent. It is an easy way to get money for your joint venture partners because no work will be involved on their part, and you will have the opportunity to present the information that you have to their existing lists. The numbers that you gather can then be used to facilitate the overall process of building more partner ties in the future.

The name for this is "rolling launch." It is the same marketing webinar that is being used as a basis to establish business bonds with joint venture partners. The numbers that you generate from the previous webinar will be the deciding factor that secures these joint venture partners. It is not difficult to continue establishing business ties with different joint venture partners. One night while I was having dinner with my family, my wife asked me, "So what about the webinar that you are going to present tonight?" "Webinar?" I said, "Oh yeah, you are right; I do have one? Does anyone want more potatoes...?" What I am trying to show here is that even though I had a presentation, I was not worried. I was familiar with my presentation since I had done the same webinar more than once. And you know what? We made a lot of money from that webinar.

Over the last five months, I have made $142,400 using this same method. When it comes to talking about a rolling launch with marketing webinars, words cannot describe how amazing it is. I love using them!

When considering what topics to approach, you will also want to think about the special expertise you currently possess. This will allow you to maximize the impact of the webinar tool. If you do not feel like your own knowledge base matches up to what your viewers are looking for, do not worry! You can always interview an authority on the subject and present the information this way. The webinar tool is not limited by your expertise.

Next, hold a free webinar as a teaser for your course. This will allow you to really see what types of information your potential customers want. Now that you have established the foundation for your subject, the webinar tool can be expanded to go deeper into your topic. The potential clients you encounter with your free teaser can now be pursued to purchase future courses.

Now that you have presented your free webinar, go to the next level and sell future courses. In my last series of articles, I discussed four types of webinars. With model number two, you can offer a free webinar to help promote your services. This is called a "How-to Webinar." If you have a complicated product to sell then this is perfect. You will teach people how to do things in this type of webinar. After that you will then offer your services if it is something that they do not want to tackle themselves. The mortgage industry for example is a great place that the ''How-to Webinars'' will work perfectly.

Using the example above, you can teach people how to do their taxes and probate on your webinars. You may even teach them how to choose a qualified professional. After you have taught them what has to be done, then the next step will be to offer your services to get this done for them. You will have to be just as qualified as what you have described. You can give them a general guide of 10 things that they will need to know when choosing a best person to work with. Your competitors may meet five of these. However, you must ensure that you have the skills and expertise to meet all 10.

These types of webinars can be used as a tool to teach people about the new regulations and rules that have been implemented. One topic that could yield lots of money for any tax attorney would be how to tackle your taxes. The tax attorney can use the beginning of each tax season to put in place the "How-to Webinar" that will teach people about new changes and rules in this sector. They will see all the bureaucracy that is involved, and then he will show how he may help them.

Industries that are service related have not tapped into the benefits that "How-to Webinars" can give. But this is one area that could really use webinars. Any service industry can be highlighted in webinars; the topics that could be covered include: pre-qualifying people, making sales, setting up appointments, etc.

Who are the professionals who could benefit from webinars? This can range from investors trying to promote their services or even those who are trying to sell under-valued property to buyers. Professionals in the health-care industry who want to teach their prospects about certain issues are also possible users of this tool. In the second webinar strategy, you sell your services for what may be an intimidating process. Take a complex topic and break it down to educate your viewers. Explain all the steps involved in achieving what they want or need. This will help them understand what they do and do not know about the process. At the end, you can then show how you will be able to make the procedure easier for them.

The third webinar strategy uses the free webinar to hook viewers into purchasing webinar classes. If provide enough information in your free webinar, you will be sure to intrigue them. Make them realize that by purchasing further courses they will have access to even more of your knowledge and expertise.

The fourth webinar strategy is to view your webinar as a commercial that is going to be played more than once. With each free webinar, you will sell to a new group of prospects. This creates a continuous sales cycle by constantly funneling potential customers your way.

Each webinar strategy has its own benefits, and you can even consider using all four of them at different times to promote your business. Taking the time to learn about each strategy will go a long way in strengthening your marketing plan.

Advent Activities To Celebrate the Holiday Season

Advent is the time period from December 1st to December 24th that identifies the days and weeks that come before Christmas. An Advent calendar or wreath is used to track the season, which represents "coming" as a derivative of the Latin word adventus. This time period celebrates the period leading up to the birth of Christ.

One way that Advent is prepared for is by use of a device known as an Advent calendar. A simple device, in many cases actually created by children, this device allows the celebrants to track how far they are along in the Advent holiday period.

Advent candles are the most popular way that is used to track the days in the calendar. Since Advent has 24 days, the calendar has 24 candles. The family celebrating the holiday gathers together and lights one of the candles each day of the Advent season.

Advent calendars come in all shapes and sizes. They also come in a wide variety of formats and designs. One common design of an Advent calendar is in the form of a Christmas tree. This design has 24 candles attached to branches that make up the tree and are lit each day.

Another Advent calendar design is a candy holder calendar. The candy holder calendar includes 24 pockets that are filled with candy. As each day arrives in the holiday season, someone, usually a child, takes the candy out of the holder and eats it.

You can also track the holiday season by using an Advent wreath. An Advent wreath includes 4 candles to track the weeks of Advent. You light a candle on each week of Advent to track the progression of the holiday season.

There are many ways that Advent is celebrated by the religious community. Special services are held where the congregants gather together for prayer, worship and to be edified and encouraged. The religious leader may specifically focus on a message of encouragement to remind the congregation of the coming Christmas holiday and why we celebrate the birth of Christ. The church may also sing special hymns and spiritual songs that celebrate and promote the birth of Christ as well.

For families that are looking to celebrate the holiday season at home, there are a variety of Advent activities that can be engaged in. Families with kids may have an Advent calendar creation time where the family makes and designs a calendar together. Other families may have their kids engage in Advent-themed activities, such as playing with Advent toys or coloring in Advent coloring books.

The Advent holiday season is a time of reflection, celebration, and rededication for the millions of individuals that celebrate it worldwide. As you can see, there are a number of different ways that you can choose to celebrate the holiday. You can use the suggestions and examples that we give in this article or you can use them as a starting point to come up with your own ideas. The choice is completely up to you.

The Meaning of The 12 Days of Christmas

At Christmas time, people often sing the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas," but few know of the rich Christmas symbols behind the words of the song. Everybody thinks that "The Twelve Days of Christmas" were the days preceding the Christmas festival. In reality, Epiphany is the time of the Christian celebration that starts December 25 and lasts until January 6, a duration of 12 days. This marks the Church's celebration of Jesus as the Light of the world and remembers the pilgrimage of the three wise men.

Each of these twelve day of Christmas were considered a part of the Christmas celebration. Meant to demonstrate mercy and compassion, each day was taken into account by people showing selfless acts of giving and tender charity. In many cultures, giving gifts was not done solely on a single day, but rather, as the song goes, through the entire season of the 12 days of Christmas.

From 1558 until 1829, the Church in England was not allowed to practice their faith openly. During that era "The Twelve Days of Christmas" song was written as a catechism that could be sung in public without the risk of persecution. The words to the song are, in essence, an allegory. The words to the song have two levels of interpretation: the literal meaning and the figurative meaning known only to members of the Church.

Each word in the song represents something in a religious context. God is represented as "true love." "Me" symbolizes the members called upon to receive these gifts as a Christian. The partridge in a pear tree given on the first day as a symbol of Jesus Christ coming to save mankind.

Try and discover the meaning of the remaining days as you go over the words to the song:

On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me A partridge in a pear tree.

On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the third day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

Start A Consulting Business And Build A Client Base With Autoresponders

To start a consulting business successfully, you need clients, and an autoresponder is one way to get new clients. Potential clients need to feel confident in your expertise, and this is one way to demonstrate it to them. You can use an autoresponder to create a mini-course around your topic of expertise. You offer the course as an incentive to website visitors in return for their email address. They provide their email and sign up on your autoresponder.

After selecting a topic of interest, divide the topic up into several sub-topics. Give anyone that visits your consulting website a 5 or 7 day course where you cover each sub-topic on each day of the course. Day 1 should consist of an introductory message letting the reader know what will come next. The key is to build interest, clearly communicate your points and offer information of value so that the reader feels that he or she is getting quality actionable information. If you use a mini-course to promote yourself as you start a consulting business, make sure on each day you include the lesson number, the title of the topic that day and your company website. End the day by talking about the next day.

The key to making your mini-course a successful one is making sure you provide valuable information to the readers. If the information lacks value, you will be associated with a lack of value and your readers will not become clients.

As far as how you create the course, there are several ways you can do this. I suggest that you create it in a word processing application or a text based program so that you can have a central location for all of your content. After creating it and reviewing it, the next step is to transfer the course over to your autoresponder application. You are done! Now the mini-course works on your behalf. Visitors to your website automatically begin to build rapport with you and have a greater level of trust in your abilities as an consultant while you continue to build your business. As a result, you will find that it will help you land more clients as you start a consulting business.

Promoting online business opportunities effectively is impossible if you are not using an autoresponder. If you are not getting a big bang for your buck out of them there is a good chance that you are missing some vital elements that need to be implemented in your campaign if you want to get the maximum benefit out of them.

One of the best ways to utilize the power of an autoresponder is to make sure you use a signature. A signature is a way to promote your business. It is like a mini business card for email. It goes on the bottom of your email and includes your personal and business contact information.

You should never send out an email as part of your autoresponder without a signature. The reason why is because if you do you are missing out on a golden opportunity to promote your business. Promotion is all about impressions and each email that promotes your online business opportunities creates an impression for your business. An autoresponder signature also increases the perceived professionalism of your business.

To format a signature effectively make sure it is four to six lines and does not exceed 70 characters per line. Also avoid the lines in your signature breaking up. You should include in your autoresponder your name, the company name, the email address of your business, your phone number as well as any other contact information you feel is appropriate.

The last step is to include a short message about the actual online business opportunities you are looking to market. When writing this message it is important to remember that people only care about the benefits you offer that focus on them. It is not hard to make money on the internet if you know what you are doing. The challenge that many business owners fail to understand is how marketing online works. As a result, they run into a number of common difficulties faced by people looking to make money online for the first time.

The first challenge is a lack of a product or service to market. One of the best types of products to market is an information product because selling information works very well online.

The second area that a lot of people struggle with when they attempt to make money on the internet is exposure. Marketing outside of where you are located can be challenging. This is especially true if you are marketing a service that does not work well for a national audience. As an example, there is not a huge demand for an attorney outside of the city he or she practices in. You need to have people you can market to in order to make money.

Another challenge to making money online is getting in front of the right people. Qualifying people over the phone can be challenging. When I used to do remodeling I know it was difficult to determine over the phone if a potential client was really looking to get a project done or if I was wasting my time. When you invest time with people who are not interested and will not buy from you, it limits your ability to make money.

You also cannot make money on the internet when you fail to capture the attention of prospective customers. You are not going to hold the attention of a person through traditional advertising like ads and commercials. This is even truer if you are marketing a complicated product or service, which are almost impossible to market outside of face-to-face interactions. This is true for financial professionals, real estate professionals, medical professionals and legal professionals. Your services require one-on-one interactions, which are difficult to book online.

Finally, if you fail to create a sense of urgency in the mind of your prospect to purchase from you now, this limits your income. Providing a strong deadline or incentive to purchase immediately allows you to make more money faster and acquire more customers.

These are the most common reasons why people fail to make money online. Now that you understand these reasons if you can factor them into your marketing plan you can make money on the internet.

When promoting work from home opportunities using sales pages, you need to be sure you effectively use bullet points. Bullet points help you to craft your offer in a way that is appealing for your website visitors. These are some tips that will help you to effectively use bullet points so that your website will get the maximum response.

* Bring out the strongest benefits of your business opportunity with bullet points. The reason why you need to highlight these benefits is because many people skim sales copy. By making these benefits stand out you increase the chances that they get read, which increases the chances that the reader acts on them. Make sure that each key benefit is highlighted in the bullet points to increase the chances of your prospects requesting more information.

As an example, if one of your benefits for the work from home opportunities that you are promoting is the size of the marketplace you should highlight those benefits in your bullet points. Prospects that are attracted to that will respond well to those benefits.

* Make sure you do not confuse your website visitors with distracting ideas. If you want your prospect to opt-in, then that is what you should be communicating in your bullet points and on your webpage. Having banner ads and other links keep the visitor from doing what you want him or her to do.

* When promoting work from home opportunities, people are mainly interested in the specifics, not general information. You do not have to explain every single aspect about your opportunity, but you do need to give them enough information to make an informed decision

* Your bullet points should convert the prospect into a lead.

* One of the ways I like to help my clients out is to help them get in their minds how they can generate interest for the prospects reading their website. You want to put yourself in the minds of your prospect and attempt to figure out what is it that would attract your prospect to want to take the next step that you are asking them to take in your website copy. If your prospect would be attracted to the fact that you have a proven success system, make sure your bullet points talk about that system as this will make the prospect more likely to take action.

The bottom line is you want to make the prospect interested in what you have to offer. If you are not getting the response you expect from your sales page, try implementing some of these tips. You will get a better response for your work from home opportunities.

What Is The Best Way When You Sell Information To Protect It Online?

Prior to this article, I wrote about how there are a couple of different options that you can use to protect your products as you sell information. Using a membership site and requiring each person to log in is one method. Installing and using an ebook protection application is another method. You decide which one is best.

If you decide to go the pdf or ebook protection route, you can find various applications by searching on Google for pdf protection or ebook protection. I do not use this option because I think it is a waste of money. It is my belief that your efforts are better spent selling more products as opposed to trying to stop the minority of people who want to steal your work. Your efforts would be better spent creating new products to sell to your customers. This gives you a bigger bang for your buck and will make you more money in the long run. If I have to choose between the two options, a membership site is the way to go.

One great approach that I use when I sell information is to sell ebooks at a set price, such as $27 and promote my $19.97 monthly audio membership to those buyers. Only customers for my ebooks learn about my audio club membership; therefore, I know who is paying me. Another program that I offer is a gold membership. With this program, they pay a higher amount than the audio membership, which allows me to purchase my membership software, known as AMember. AMember allows me to track user names and passwords for my customers so I can limit access to only my authorized members.

Trying to stop people from sharing a $27 ebook is a waste of my time and effort. Besides I can stop most of the people for free. All I do is tell them in the ebook that the product is not free and that if they receive it for free they should do the right thing and delete it and that works well for me.

The way that I protect my audio membership website is with my aMember membership software. Since my program provides continuous revenue, or even if it was just a one-time fee for a physical or digital product, I have a form of protection by requiring username and password access. In my opinion, a membership website is a much better and more effective solution than a pdf protector.

Sell Information Online And Protect Your Ebooks

Is there any way to protect your ebooks from being shared when you sell information online? Using ClickBank is a potential solution. By accepting payment with Clickbank, it gives you some security.

How does Clickbank protect you? You create a sales page to market the ebook that you are selling. The person buying it clicks on the buy link on your sales page and is promoted by Clickbank to enter payment information. If the information entered results in a payment being made, Clickbank sends the customer to your download page. If not, Clickbank blocks them. Therefore they can only get to your page if they pay for your product.

The limitation with Clickbank is that it cannot protect

you from a paying customer who shares your product. Once a customer pays for and downloads your product, they can share it with whomever they want.

One possible solution when you sell information online is to use a password protection membership website to control distribution of the ebook. Instead of placing the information in a PDF, you keep it on one of these websites. When someone accesses a product that I have on one of these websites, they need to enter their user name and password and if there is a problem with payment they cannot see the information. I have a main course that costs $700 and has a $97 monthly subscription. That is not something I want being distributed for free. On the other hand, I might not care as much for a $27 ebook.

With most products, especially in niches where the buyer tends to be more honest, sharing is not a major issue. One technique to limit sharing is to use the honor system by reminding your readers at the beginning of the ebook that it is not free and giving them a way to report violators who choose to share the ebook without permission. Many people who read such a statement will abide by it. They do not want to be considered thieves and will abide by your request.

The bottom line is that unless you keep your information on a password protected membership website or use PDF protection software, there is not much you can do to stop sharing when you sell information online.

Selling Information And How To Handle People Who Want It Free

When selling information there is a very good chance that someone will ask you to give you your information product to them at no cost. How should you handle that request? This article does not discuss giving products away to friends and family. That is your choice. Also not up for discussion here is giving bonus ebooks away as a special promotion. That is a specific marketing strategy that can be discussed at another time. What this article discusses is the concept of people contacting you out of nowhere and asking for your product for free.

I get this request frequently. A person that I do not even know will contact me out of the blue and they will ask me if I would be willing to give them a copy of my product for free to help them out. What these people fail to realize is that this is not an appropriate request. If they owned a traditional business they would balk at someone walking into their store and asking for their products for free. Why they feel they can do the same to me is beyond comprehension in my opinion. Besides, more importantly what they do not realize is that part of the value from the product comes in paying for it.

I am a perfect example of this. I have a lot of products on my computer that I have never looked at. The reason why is because these products were given to me for free. Those very same products that if I paid for them, I would have read or used. Since I did not pay for them I have no value attached to them and thus no motivation for using them.

This is a topic that I can talk about all day and what is funny is that I get these requests almost every day. There are even some people who have suggested I give them my product for free and if and when they make money, they will pay me back. This is of course a silly concept because they have nothing invested into the product. If they got the product for free, there would be no need to implement the concepts, so I would basically just give my products away for free without anything in return. I have to earn a living as well and the way I do that is by selling information that I am passionate about. Also, the fact of the matter is I have invested significant time and knowledge into the products that I offer. The bottom line is if people have to spend money and invest into an information product they will typically have a much greater chance of using the product and getting value out of it.

Think about my business model. People online constantly are looking to learn how to make money online. They want to know the meat and potatoes. They want step-by-step instructions. This is why I do well online. I use step-by-step videos to show them exactly how to make money online. If you follow what I do and you also make sure you go through all of the details, as opposed to highlighting concepts, you will also do well when you are selling information online.

Importance Of Rewarding Customers Who Take Action On Business Webinars

When conducting business webinars it is important that you promote the reasons why your listeners need to buy now. You need to create a reward system for customers who take action. Whether you are marketing online or marketing offline, whether you are marketing a service, marketing a physical product, or selling digital products, there must be a sense of urgency. There must also be a loss for those who do not buy now.

Scarcity is one of the best techniques for driving action. One way to create it on a webinar is to create a time limit offer such as "only available until 3:00pm tomorrow." Offering a time limit bonus is also a way you can do it. Both of these techniques create a reason why the prospect should buy now. Without them, the prospect will procrastinate on making a buying decision.

Another powerful technique to use on business webinars is limited supply. You can say "I only have 200 of these available." In order for this to work you need to have a compelling reason that makes sense. For instance saying "I can only sell 200 ebooks otherwise if I sell more my computer will overload" is silly.

If you are looking for ways to create limits on product quantity, here are two ways you can do this. Say you offer consulting services. You can limit the number of hours you offer because time is a limited resource. If you are offering a physical workshop, you can use the limited amount of seats. The place you are holding the workshop has limited capacity. If you are selling a product that has to be produced, you can create a limited first run, like only 100 so if they want to get in on that run, they have to buy now before you run out.

You can also use the effectiveness of the product itself to limit quantity. Many producers of information products use this by saying "I do not want this information to get into too many hands because it will reduce the effectiveness of the strategy working for us." This makes it exclusive in the mind of the prospect.

Another technique for increasing the amount of buyers on your business webinars is fear of loss. If you present a takeaway, you will convert serious prospects who may be on the fence. One way is to offer a fast action bonus. You can say "I will also send my XYZ program for free to the first 100 buyers."

The reason why you need to use sense of urgency and fear of loss is because this is the best way to motivate your prospects to buy now. While some people will buy just for the merits of your product others need a push, especially if there is a price paid for waiting. A common approach is to increase the price of the product after a certain amount of days on the market. Another approach that you can use is to take out parts of the product or even take the product off the market after a certain date. Whichever approach you prefer, you want to make sure it gets communicated to your potential prospects.

Live events are a great way to create scarcity. Business webinars can only support a certain amount of people. A live event location only has a certain amount of space. You can create an event out of anything if you really think about it.

Say you are celebrating your 11th anniversary. You can use that event as a promotion for your product. The promotion can consist of a sale of your product for 11 days. The 1st day has the lowest price and each day the price increases. Once the 11th day passes, the product is pulled from the market. This way your prospects have a daily sense of urgency and fear of loss to take action. Business webinars are an excellent way to communicate and implement this.

In conclusion, remember that you need to reward people who do business with you now. You need to penalize the ones that do not do business with you now so that if they are on the fence, they will decide to do business with you sooner.

Increase Your Sales With Wonderful Webinars

I am a huge proponent of webinars for internet-based training. I like to think of them as Wonderful Webinars. Why do I think webinars work so well? The reasons are endless!

First of all, a webinar is efficient. You can create several products at one time. Think about this: if I have a webinar, I will record it and at the end of my webinar I will have a video that I can turn around and sell. I will also have an audio file at the end that I can turn into audio CDs, or podcasts.

In addition, the transcripts can be captured from the training by a transcriber. These can be turned into a product also. You can even take the Powerpoint presentation that you use for the training and turn that into a product, such as a workbook or a bonus as part of a larger product.

As an added bonus, I can most likely also take the transcript and break it up into pieces and potentially get around 50 articles that now I can blast to article directories, which of course helps my ranking in Google due to backward links. So by having one product, I can with minimal effort, turn it into four products at once through webinars.

Internet-based training also has the added benefit of being able to reach a large group of people at once. With average conversion rates ranging anywhere from 10% to 30%, this is an excellent form of leverage. Even 33% has been a rate I have seen in the past. Can you imagine the payday you will receive if you have 100 participants and 33 of the buy your product? Sometimes the rates can be lower also.

Regardless, you are still going to generate much higher conversion rates from internet based training than other marketing strategies. You will not find another marketing strategy with as powerful of a leverage point. If you are looking to make more money, this is the way to go. I have seen this method work effectively time and time again.

In a previous article I talked about the multiple benefits of using webinars in your online business. Now, I want to discuss a model of how webinars can work in your offline business as well. Used correctly, webinar allow you to identify interested people and concentrate your marketing efforts and dollars on them.

What makes webinars so effective is how the simple act of registering for a webinar qualifies a prospect for your business. If that same person actually participates in the webinar, they become even more qualified. If that same person listens to the entire webinar they are even more qualified. Finally, if they listen to the entire webinar and they participate in the post webinar survey, they become the most qualified person on which to market your products and services.

When you are marketing webinars, you must recognize that not everyone is going to buy from you right away. Some people may like what you have to offer but may not buy for financial reasons or because they are not sold yet. Separating your prospective customer list into these four categories makes it easier to market. These are the folks that I want to call personally.

These are the people that are worth spending my marketing dollars on and my time pursuing. Is it worth sending direct mail to my entire list? Of course not! I would be in the poor house. With marketing webinars you know exactly who are the best prospects to spend your time and effort on. Using this strategy shows you who are most likely to make a decision to purchase your product or service and which customers you should spend your efforts following up with.

Using webinars can dramatically improve the bottom line for your offline business. If you are not implementing them into your business you are likely spending time and money that you do not have to spend.

A webinar is an event. That is yet another of the many reasons they work so well. Webinars are scheduled for a specific date and time. People commit to attend them as they do any other event.

The act of committing to a scheduled event is a good indicator that you have a good prospect for your business. Events also allow you to build urgency to make a buying decision. I discussed previously how to use urgency utilizing techniques such as scarcity, fixed deadlines, time periods, quantity and the take away.

A webinar is entertaining. They are still novel. They are new and have a certain intrigue to them. I may not be the most entertaining guy in the world but on each of my webinars, there are a lot of folks who listen to my presentation until the very end. I do not think this is because I am an entertaining person. The webinar itself is entertaining and novel. People do not attend webinars every day. Previously email lists were novel and now they are old hat. Then it was a new idea to attend a tele-seminar. Again, those are not considered outdated. However, webinars are still uncommon enough to be interesting.

One reason why webinars create interest is because they are somewhat rare. Email lists were rare in the past, but now they are common. Tele-seminars were very rare, now they are less rare than before. They are not necessarily common but not rare either. Webinars are still at that rare and interesting stage.

Online webinars also have the added benefit of a high level of engagement. A webinar allows you to engage the attendees visually as well as audibly. There are very few tools that allow you to interact with so many touch points and it is proven that adults receive information in this fashion very well.

Think about it. If I want to know something, I do not pick up the phone. Most of us no longer read the newspaper. We may look at it for a few things, but by and large, Americans today turn on the TV or browse online to find their information. A webinar is just like controlled TV, which is why they are so effective in our society today.

One thing I like to do on my webinars is ask the participants if they can hear me. They reply instantly and I can react accordingly. It does not matter what question you ask them, you can use this feature to target the direction you want to go on the webinar.

One of the best features of a webinar is the ability to take a poll. In your webinar software, there should be a feature that allows you to generate a question and send it to your participants. This is a great way to increase the interaction for your audience. You can even see how many people took the poll compared to who is on the webinar. This way, if you know that 49% completed the poll you can encourage the remaining 51% to complete it as well. This dramatically increases the amount of people that complete your poll. Once you close the poll out you can display the final results to everyone. It is all done in real time.

Since I sell information products online, I like to ask my listeners what their biggest obstacle is to making money on the internet. I usually get results with responses such as: technical hurdles, no good ideas, not enough time, no step-by-step plan, etc. I can then address those responses accordingly. This allows you to actually change your presentation on the fly if you so desire. At the very least, it allows you to have a great idea of the climate of your audience.

These are some great reasons why webinars are powerhouse events. I attribute the exponential growth in my business to webinars and would highly encourage you to check out the potential of these great events.

Offer Free Live Webinars To Attract More Clients

There are four models when it comes to presentations using webinars. The first model focuses on offering a free webinar to potential customers in order to promote a product. The format of a webinar like this would look like sixty minutes of content and then ten to fifteen minutes of selling your product or service at the end. First you tell people what to do, then you sell them your product or service on how to accomplish that task.

For example, if I conducted a free webinar on how to do a great webinar, I would give you the general information on how to do it but sell you my proven system for running successful webinars. Does that make sense? A weight loss webinar tells you how to lose weight. It covers the basics. However, if you want the actual explicit details of the program, that is what is sold at the end.

Be up front and direct. Tell people the formula, but the details of the formula are what you have to sell. This is an important principle. Tell them the 1, 2, 3 step formula, but then your information product is going to sell them the details. You tell people the way to do something, then demonstrate for them the proven and quick way to do that thing. This is a really good method for software or even information product courses. On live webinars, during your promotion period, you can promote an information product, software, some type of physical product, or even an affiliate product. This is a product someone else sells but they pay you a commission for each customer you refer. One way to increase your affiliate sales is to include training on that program if they buy through your link. Another way is to show the results you got with the product and then offer an affiliate link so you can get paid if they buy.

I can point to a good example of this in my own business in the form of a product launch formula sold by another company that I bought and used for my business. This formula really helped my business in a big way. What I would do to promote an affiliate product is show how I got the results, how effective they were and include a link to my affiliate product towards the end of the live webinar so that I can make money if they buy it. This is very effective because you have a product that you believe in, experienced results with and others will be attracted to the belief that you are able to convey because of it. This really works well with software programs.

This is the model that I use most of the time where I give the content at the beginning of my live webinars and the sales part at the end. At a later point in time, I will talk about the other three models of webinar formats.

In this article I continue to discuss the benefits of a webinar service. I enjoy using webinars to make money on the internet for a variety of reasons. I highlight below three reasons why I believe webinars are great tools not only the home business arena, but also practically all types of businesses.

1. You can control the interaction

Webinars offer a great deal more control than the traditional teleseminar. When I used to run teleseminars, I would get to a point in my presentation and then offer the chance for listeners to ask questions. Then I would un-mute everybody and if I had more than 100 or 200 people on the call, all you could hear would be inaudible noise. You could hear all the reverberation, all the feedback. One time, a man was not listening when I said that I was going to un-mute everyone and when he was un-muted, he was shouting at his wife. So all of us who were on the call heard this guy yell at his wife and he did not even know it.

So I would rather avoid all of that, and have control over all of the interaction. I can answer all the questions of my listeners without having to un-mute everybody. With webinars, I do not hear all that feedback, hear dogs barking, and people screaming and all kinds of stuff. So you just have a lot more control over the interaction with a webinar.

2. No long distance charges

This is a great benefit. Teleseminars often have long distance charges, especially if you are dialing in from a country other than the one the conference bridge is located in. On my webinar service we have participants all over the world. As long as they have an internet connection they can join my teleseminar without needing any special equipment. This also comes in handy at the end of the call because I do not have to worry about price sensitivity to my sales pitch due to the costs associated with getting on the call.

3. Send people directly to your website

When making a sale you want as few barriers to making the buying decision as possible. A webinar allows you to send the participants directly to the website where they can place an order. This is unlike a teleseminar, where the participants have to disconnect from the phone, go to their computer and go to the website. This is a lot of steps before the sale is made. Any distraction to this process and the sale is lost. You do not have these distractions with a webinar service. The participants are online already. They are connected already. You just bring up the link to your website. Even offline businesses can do this. If you offer a professional service, instead of your sales page, you will send them to a page where they can book an appointment.

So the moral of the story? Everyone, regardless of your product, service, or industry, should be using webinars. It does not matter if you have an offline or online business everyone can use webinars.

An online web conference provides you with a number of options at your disposal that you cannot get in any other type of presentation type. Here are some of the options that are available to you when you use webinar trainings to sell the products and services your company offers.

This is useful to allow any participant who is connected to the webinar to be able to type a question for you to answer. You can choose to address the question immediately or address it at a later point on the webinar. Sometimes I will open up the webinar at the end of the presentation for questions from the participants. You cannot do this on a teleseminar. In fact, it is difficult to do this in any other format.

2. Make the most of your presentation
You can really get your PowerPoint presentation to work for you with webinars. A webinar is so much more powerful than a teleseminar in that your listeners are not just listening along with you, but are also watching along with you as you go through your interactive PowerPoint presentation. This really helps them visually get a feel for what you are talking about and increase their understanding of your message.

3. Utilize an exit survey
An online web conference also gives you the ability to conduct an exit survey. This is very valuable. A survey reveals to you what the participants like and did not like about your webinar. This information can help you to make more sales. If you know who liked the webinar, you now know who may be the best prospects to follow up with. An exit survey can also give you comments to use for testimonials.

4. Involve your listeners with multiple senses
Webinars really involve the participants. They serve as a great way to engage your audience. They tap into multiple forms of sense. They tap into the hearing, the sight and they also allow for interaction. What this does as a result is makes it a presentation that has a higher value than a traditional presentation. It is more effective than a voice only presentation. It is better than reading words on a screen. It communicates your points more effectively.

5. Allows you to involve their emotions
An online web conference gives you the ability to show as well as tell. If you sell software, you can demonstrate how it works. If you have pictures of your product you can show those. For instance, on a webinar I hosted, I showed the participants pictures that I took on trip to Ireland. This is far superior to just trying to describe these pictures in verbal or written words alone.

Other items you can show are websites, membership websites and virtually anything that will help you to make sales. If you have a retail store, you can show the products that you sell there. Business webinars do a fantastic job at getting the sale. The power is found in the ability to stir up the emotions of the participants and get them to interact with you, which drives the sales process. I am not saying that you should never use other selling strategies. I use them as well. I have just found that an online web conference works very well and I do them continuously as a result.

How To Do A Webinar Training To Make More Money

If you are looking to generate more sales, a webinar training can help you do that. The conversation ratio on this type of training is incredible. You might be used to getting only a 3% conversation using other strategies. When you use webinars you can expect anywhere from a 10% to 30% conversion rate. Imagine this. You host a webinar, one hundred people get on the line and 10% become customers.

Let me give you a little proof that webinars do indeed work and work very, very well. I promote my own products through webinars. 8 Weeks to Profits is just one of the products I promote through webinars, and this was my very first webinar. It was 8 Weeks to Profits and I sold over $16,200 in the first two or three days. Then I did a follow up after that first webinar, meaning I just sent out some postcard, direct mails, some phone calls, and I pulled in another $16,800. These are webinars that I had after the initial launch. This was in addition to the $50,000 I made in the first week.

Then I went to different joint venture partners and presented that exact same webinar to their lists. With the same exact webinar, I was able to make an additional $142,400 over the last five months. However, I hasten to tell you, I am not that smart. I used the same webinar and was able to generate these results. I really believe that if I can do this, then anyone can replicate what I am doing with similar results.

Webinars are truly a powerful tool. Some people may choose to believe that they work for me because I have a great product. I am here to tell you that they also work when I promote other products that are not mine using this very same strategy. I did a promotion with a joint venture partner where I promoted one of their products using a webinar and we made over $11,000 together. We made this in only 2-3 days. This shows you that it not only works for my products but it works for other products also.

What I love most about doing a webinar training is the amount of freedom that webinars allow me. Thanks to technology I can do them from anywhere in the world, so I am not bound to a specific location for my business. The time that it takes to set one up and conduct one is minimum compared to the amount of money that I make. Webinars afford me the opportunity to spend quality time with my friends in the internet marketing business. This is why I enjoy doing a webinar training, the freedom that it provides and the amount of people that I can access at one time.

One of the most common questions that I get all the time is whether someone should be concerned if they are selling an information product about a topic for which there is free information available. They believe that the presence of the free product eliminates demand for the paid product.

While some people believe free eliminates demand for paid, I have found the opposite to be true, especially in situations where the free product fails to cover as much depth as the paid product. You should be excited when you see a free product because that shows there is interest in your target market.

Keep in mind that there are several topics that you can locate information on at no cost. The challenge is that it would take a significant amount of time to locate the information. Convenience is worth spending money on. It is more convenient to find information in one location. The average person does not want to search on a bunch of websites and put the information together. They want it right now and in your home internet business you can provide it to them.

Think about all the situations where people spend money to save time. Think about all the situations where people pay more for higher quality, especially if the quality of the free products is low. This is exactly what you are doing when you create a product to sell on the internet.

That being said, you should offer a free mini-course to get a person in your marketing funnel. If they are satisfied with your free course, they will want to know more about what you have to offer from your paid resources. They also believe that the paid resources are better and more valuable. Paying for something creates value. Therefore, by consolidating good information you will have the opportunity to make money even if you compete with free resources.

When using internet marketing to start your own coaching business, video is an excellent tool to jumpstart your efforts. By taking the time out to create quality videos that link to your coaching website, you will establish good search engine positioning and attract more clients to your business.

One of the best tools to use to do this is using a flip video camera. You can choose from a few models and they are hand size. The model that I use fits in my hand and features a button that I can press to flip the camera out. Practically anyone can use it. Once I record the video, I connect the camera to the USB port in my computer and the software transfers the video to the computer and uploads it directly to YouTube. It makes the process very simple.

If you are using it to start your own coaching business you want to make sure it has a great microphone. Flip cameras are known for high quality microphones that allow you to record sound as far as three to four feet in distance from the camera itself.

These cameras are very popular, especially for owners of a home internet business. You can connect the camera to a tripod, place it on your desk in your office, create a video instantly and quickly and then place that video right on YouTube so you can pick up good search engine positioning on Google.

While you can use a traditional video camera they are not as good as a flip camera. The reason why is because they do not convert the video from the camera to the computer as simple as the process that the flip camera uses and they certainly do not upload the video online to YouTube for you.

This is what I personally use and many other internet marketers who run legitimate home businesses use them as well. You can even use them to make home videos in addition to videos that promote for you as you start your own coaching business.

How Can You Be Sure To Be Paid When You Sell Information Products?

An important part to the process when you sell information products is receiving the payment. You can either go with a company that allows you to receive payments for both physical and digital products or a company that allows you to accept only one type of product, which is the option I recommend for newcomers.

Clickbank is the best option if you are just getting started and are selling digital products only. What is great about them is that they do not charge monthly fees. Another benefit is you do not have to personally review credit card transaction details. You cannot use Clickbank for physical products but there is another option for you if you sell physical and digital products.

What happens if you want to sell information products that are in physical format? You have two options, either option #1 where you provide the physical product as a bonus to the digital item or option #2 where you use a different payment processing company to handle the physical product.

1ShoppingCart is another payment processing company you can use. One of the advantages to their service is that they allow you to do digital and physical products. The downside is that they charge a monthly fee to use their services, unlike Clickbank. As a result, it is only worth it if you are making enough in sales to justify the monthly cost.

Another option that you can use is PayPal or MouseECommerce. A PayPal account is free to set up. PayPal is good for situations where you want to sell digital and physical products because you can use Clickbank for the digital and PayPal for the physical product. Suppose you wanted to sell an ebook and also sell an audio CD that complements the ebook, you can have them buy the ebook using Clickbank and then offer the audio CD on the download page with a mini-sales letter and a PayPal Buy It Now button. The sales letter should have an additional offer to buy the physical CD?s and then process and ship using PayPal.

This gives you some options to choose from for handling product sales online. 1ShoppingCart is a great option if you sell both types of products and you have the budget for it. Clickbank is great for digital products only and PayPal is great for physical products and you can always combine the two services using the strategy above when you sell information products.

This summer I’ve been posting reviews of our writing products as well as some articles about writing. This is an article that I wrote last summer that I thought you might find helpful.

Reading journals are a powerful tool to help your students learn.

Personally, I believe reading journals are an excellent way to have your students interact with their readings and improve their writing at the same time. Whether your kids are six or sixteen they can write about what they read and begin their journal writing programs.

My teenagers kept a reading journal this past year. It specifically dealt with their literature reading assignment. At the beginning of the year, they wrote about the events that occurred in the story. As the year passed, they began writing more about the characters or the lessons they were learning from the story. By the end of the year this was an informal essay, going beyond simply recapping what they read.

This has worked so well that we are now introducing it to my twelve-year-old son. At the end of each day, he will write journal entries on what he really learned each day. This has been especially helpful with Bible readings. By writing a paragraph on his morning devotions, we will be able to reinforce what he learns.

When my children were younger, they would narrate aloud what they read earlier that day. I would write it down for them. The following day, my kids would copy the narration in their best handwriting. Young children can have journal writing instruction as they enter copy work into their journals.

Journals help my kids write on a daily basis, but I don't think it teaches writing. I use Teaching Writing: Structure.

Using Great Topics to Teach Writing

This summer I’ve been posting reviews of our writing products as well as some articles about writing. This is an article that I wrote last summer that I thought you might find helpful.

Despite all the articles I wrote to teach kids to write, the children often teach me more than I teach them. Thanks to my son, I learned another powerful lesson, one that makes me a better writing teacher while helping him become a better writer. Here's what happened.

Last week, my son's lesson was writing a biographical sketch in five paragraphs. We had recently been studying the Roman Empire, and I hoped that he would write on one of the church's founding fathers - not only would this reinforce those lessons, but he would also have the chance to delve more deeply into books which we had not had time to read earlier. Despite my excitement, I could see he was less than eager.

He was clearly not interested in the topic which I found so fascinating. Once we talked about baseball, that all changed. He had been reading about the life of Derek Jeter, and wanted to learn more. When I suggested that he write his biography on Jeter, his whole attitude changed - suddenly, he could not wait to get started! He already knew of three sources for more information, and could not wait to get started.

We decided that he would write about Derek Jeter, rather than church fathers.

This week he found interesting and important information about Jeter. Today we narrowed his paper to three topics about Derek Jeter. Next week, he will outline his paper and begin writing.

He is much happier and more enthusiastic about his assignment, since he is writing about a topic that interests him. This keeps him motivated, and his writing is most effective when he has the freedom to choose a topic. He'll learn more, and retain more, this way.

Wherever possible, let your kids choose topics which interest them. They will take ownership of their work, and be more motivated to boot. Try it soon - simply talk with your kids to find a topic which interests them, and then let them choose. They'll love the chance to follow their passions, leading to better papers which will be a joy to read.

How to Encourage Kids to Love Writing

This summer I’ve been posting reviews of our writing products as well as some articles about writing. This is an article that I wrote last summer that I thought you might find helpful.

The most common complaint I hear from parents has to do with their child's approach to writing. It's quite normal for children to resist writing lessons. I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that way. By providing your child with a clear purpose for their written assignments, you will boost their motivation and encourage them to do their best work. Through the process of writing format through publishing, my kids do better work, and are happier about it, too!

I have three children, and each are published authors despite their tender ages. When he was eight, my son wrote a jungle book to teach younger children their ABCs. He painstakingly researched each plant and animal in the jungle for a full year before he was ready to complete his Jungle ABC book. Using a writing style checklist (part of the Excellence in Writing program) helped him to write an effective paragraph for each plant and animal he chose.

Given his age, it was unrealistic to force him to work on his book every day. It was an ongoing project that he worked on regularly, and completed at the beginning of June. However, he remained motivated through the entire year, an amazing feat for one so young.

Here's how we kept our son motivated, saving us from nagging and arguing. First, we assigned him a writing topic that was interesting to him. He's been fascinated by jungle plants and animals for years, and was happy to keep reading and learning more. Second, he was excited at the thought of writing his own book, one that he could sell to earn money for his efforts. Because he had a reason for writing, he remained motivated to complete the project.

Not all writing assignments lead to a money-making opportunity - there are many other ways to introduce purpose into your child's writing. Experiment, and look for new reasons to write. Perhaps your child can write a letter to the editor of the local newspaper on a preferred topic; enter a poem or story in a writing contest; share news in a letter with family or friends; or write a story about an incident in their life. Be creative, and find new reasons for your children to write - they will approach their writing with a fresh outlook and increased enthusiasm.

Once your child has a purpose for writing, he needs to put his ideas down on paper in a thoughtful, cohesive manner. There are many writing programs on the market, but best source I have found to teach your child "how" to write is Excellence in Writing. This course deals with the "hows" of writing instead of "what" to write about.

You can give your child(ren) a great reason for writing when you use the process of writing format through publishing. Try to integrate writing into any subject you are studying with your child. Writing should never be treated as a separate topic, since it is a valuable skill that transcends the subject material. By encouraging your child to write on a range of topics, he (or she!) will understand the purpose that writing has in all aspects of life.

What's Your Method for Teaching Writing Skills? (Part III)

Teaching children how to write is a challenge. By using the methods we have outlined in this three-part series, you can make this process easier for yourself and your students. Using predictable books to teach writing skills will increase your success. By now, you have completed a simple story outline. Over the next two days, your child will complete this exercise while strengthening his writing skills.

DAY 2
Gather your outline, some blank paper, and a pen or pencil. Your child can re-tell the story (out loud!) to refresh his memory - let him use the outline to stay on track.

Using the outline, have your child write a new sentence for each line. It is important to stress that the new sentence does not have to be exactly the same as the original. Don't be surprised to find that your child has even made the story better! Once each line is complete, your child will have a full paragraph.

Very young children may dictate each sentence as you write. At this point, you should check the paragraph for proper punctuation and spelling. Do not add or subtract words or rewrite the sentences - this is not your writing, it is your child's writing.

Older students who are capable of editing their own work for spelling and punctuation should do so on day three.

Day 3
On the last day of this lesson, have your child re-write the completed paragraph or story. Make sure that the new copy has been corrected for punctuation and spelling - older children can do this themselves, while younger children may need some help. Don't expect your child to be great writers overnight. You will find areas which need improvement, and you can incorporate these concepts into later lessons. Best of all, your child won't waste time hunting for a topic; they can put all their efforts into learning the skills needed to become an effective writer.

You can repeat this activity as often as necessary. With practice, your child will improve his skills in outlining and writing. You can perform this exercise using paragraphs or stories from a wide range of interests - dinosaurs, fairy tales, even subjects they are learning about in class.

You will be amazed at this great method for teaching your students writing.
