Christmas is just a few months away. Everybody on a tight budget is beginning to think about inexpensive Christmas gift ideas to get to the Yuletide season without amassing more debt.
Here are some money-saving, homemade, Christmas gifts recipes for you to think about.
Bake a huge batch of your yummy cookies. Set them on a platter, and used brightly colored plastic to wrap around the entire package. Tie a cute ribbon at the top. Homebake treats are a great gift for everyone and its cheap too.
If you like marmalade, why not give this as a present? Purchase a small wooden basket, and fill it with clear container full of homemade marmalade. Decorate it with thick laces and bows. Put the containers in the basket and decorate it with ribbon or wrap it with colored plastic and the covering at the top with thick colored ribbon. You can also put in a small pack of chocolates to go with the package.
Scented candles are also a great present for anyone, and these are cheap also. Buy a dozen of these aromatic candles and a couple of candle holders. Put them altogether in a small wooden basket. Cover the basket with thin colored cellophane and tie it at the top with 2 or 3 colored ribbons.
With the winter days approaching, a scarf, gloves and a hat are also nice gifts. These sets come in varied colors, textures and forms. Sets like the scarf, gloves and hat are a fine addition to your friends gift list and are inexpensive as well.
How about buying picture frames? For example, buy two two each; a 3-1/2 by 5 inch; 4x5 inch and 5x5 inch simple but elegant frames. Stick a nice bow at the top right or left corner of these frames.
Here is another budget saving tip. Put up a Christmas stocking and fill it with items that people use everyday, but don't buy. For instance, nail clippers, q-tips; cotton balls; sachets of shampoo; conditioner; lotion; shower accessories and creams.
Christmas presents need not to be expensive. It is the thought behind the gift that counts.
