Santa Craft Making Ideas For Your Kids

Kids like Christmas crafts a lot. Santa craft ideas for kids are an enjoyable and creative way of spending time with your kids during the Christmas holidays. No family will be able to resist these Christmas craft-decorating free ideas.

SANTA PICTURE:

If you are looking for Christmas crafts and recipes geared for preschoolers, this picture-making activity is a good place to start. So, let's begin creating Santa's pictures from scratch. There are many different kinds of coloring books with Santa themes sold during Christmas. Get Santa's picture from one of those books. Cut it out, and place Santa's picture in the center of a sheet of thick, white construction paper. A glue stick will do fine to fasten it to the paper.

Color the picture with colored pencils. Once coloring is done, use wisps of cotton to serve as Santa's beard and use a small ball of cotton at the tip of his red hat. You can use small, black buttons to serve as Santa's eyes, and a red button for his nose. Fill the rest of the area of the white construction paper by drawing presents or candy canes.

When the picture is done, have your kids sign their names right under Santa's picture. Take a large piece of black cardboard and glue the picture to it. Insert the picture in a frame to shield it from damage. Place the frame in an open area of your house where it is easy to look at and admire.

SANTA CHRISTMAS CARDS:

Santa Christmas cards is another art activity your children will be able to do. With a piece of white construction paper, measure the paper to a size of 5x7 inches. Cut the paper to that particular measurement. You can either fold it vertically or horizontally. Tell your kids to personalize their version of Santa on the front page. Let them use crayons or colored markers to help stimulate their imagination.

After making the pictures, your kids can write Christmas messages on the inside page. Christmas cards made this way are delightful to show off at home or send to far-away love ones. You can also do a Christmas craft-a-day activity and add this to your Christmas calenda. It's an enjoyable thing to do with your kids or students.

MAKE A SANTA PLATE ORNAMENT FOR THE CHRISTMAS TREE:

Anything can be used here; crayons and felt pens, wisps of cotton, a round paper plate, and shiny thread cut to tiny bits. First trace or draw Santa, without his hat, on the paper plate using the crayons or pens. Use the cotton balls to serve as his beard and mustache. Or, glue the cotton together into a V-formation so that it looks like it hangs off the plate's edge. The cotton can also serve as Santa's white hair.

Use blue color for Santa's eyes, and a black felt pen to draw Santa's spectacles. Use red food color on a small ball of cotton to fashion a nose. Mark the edges of the plate with red or green crayons and add colored sparkles to it. Finally, secure this Christmas picture plate on the tree by gluing an ornament hook at the top of the plate.

Well that's it! There are many different ways to share with your kids on how to make Santa Christmas ornaments, pictures, and cards.

These are great craft projects. I like the christmas card one where they can create their own christmas cards and you can send them out. It's a great way for them to get creative and it will save on having to buy christmas cards. I think I will have my nephews and nieces try that one. I have 8 nieces and nephews and I babysit them a lot. I am always trying to think of ways for them to have fun without tv or video games. Anyway, there is this really cool website that families can go to and check out together at http://www.kabillion.com/littledirector

This website allows kids to upload their drawings they've made at school or home, animate them, and much more! The website is very kid-focused so kids have an easy time using it. I work with Kabillion and I just wanted to let you know about this great site you can check out with your kids. Check it out and let me know what you and your kids end up creating!
