Inspire Your Kids
Today is sunny & beautiful in northern Idaho, which is a rarity this time of year. In our homeschool, this morning we read about Mary Cassatt and the way she copied masters. I hope to have my kids copy some master paintings into their sketchbook. As we read about Cassatt, the kids were using watercolor pencils to draw & paint the tulip in our vase. I am so glad to find an art activity they really enjoy doing. I grew up loving art and really want to inspire them to love art, also (instead of requiring them to do so many drawings). Sometimes it is difficult to truly inspire kids into an area in which they have little interest. If you have any ideas on inspiring instead of requiring, I would love to hear them.
