Your Goals - Setting Them Is Easy

On to a new year, a lot of people with find time to set goals for 2007. Its a good thing to do at every start of the year. Setting goals is a well known method of success by people who excel like athletes, businessmen and other achievers in their own field of expertise. Moms at home are also included! You have the best job of them all and that is raising future leaders, so be ready for it by setting and seeing these goals into fruition - for your children and you.

There are easy manageable ways for moms to achieve these goals. Goals can be of short-term or long-term ones as you work on your day and then weeks and then finally to months and years. With these goals, I can get organized and be able to maximize my time and resources to the fullest. This also enlightens me and empowers me with new knowledge that I can share with my children.

WHY DO WE SET GOALS?

We keep thinking, why do we set goals? God will help me and I fully trust him to light my way. Discovering a great truth as you believe in him to guide your way. But, having goals set in short and long term ones will help you measure your progress as you bring up your children in Christ. As your goals are met, you will be further motivated to follow God's path.

Isn't it great when you cross something off your written list? I feel the same too! Its also the same with goals. As these short term goals are completed, you will feel a sense of accomplishment that leads to a great feeling that you've been realizing your final goals.

Ever got through the day feeling like there's something lacking or was just a perfect waste of time?

Having goals eradicates that feeling of you have done something pointless or unproductive. I'm sure you know what that means.

GOAL SETTING BASICS - WHERE SHALL I START SETTING MY GOALS?

1. Think deeply on what you really want to do as you bring up your kids to be leaders in God's image. These will be your lifetime goals for all of you.

2. Make a list of the short and long term goals needed for you to attain your lifetime goals. Make a chart with each family member at the top of your chart.

3. Turn those goals into manageable chunks that are easy to complete. These sub-goals will be under the first goal at that particular week only.

4. Write down what you did each day so that you can work on your goals. You may begin with the first month, breaking it into manageable weekly activities. Then on the first day of the week, list your activities for that certain week only.

5. With your list created, don't waste time in working to achieve your goals.

In the next part, I'll talk about putting your goals into action.
