There are at least two approaches when you want to write a best selling ebook in 1 month. One is to be the reporter and the other is to be the expert. Now if you know a lot about your topic, say "saving money on weddings", then, by all means start writing that e-book right now.
But if you’re like most of us and you’re not sure where to start, then the reporter approach may be the best and quickest approach. The reporter doesn’t need to know all the best ways to save money on a wedding, but you know people who do know how to save money.
Next you’re going to interview some experts. We’re going to add some bulk to this book, some expertise to this book. Do you think the local florist has some ideas on saving money on flower arrangements for a wedding? Do you think she would mind being interviewed for an ebook about saving money on weddings? Well, of course not, especially when you put her contact info in the ebook.
What about interviewing a caterer, a DJ, a limousine company, and a wedding dress shop. You get the picture. How many people and how many vendors can you interview? Each one of those people would probably have a tip on how to save money on a wedding.
When you record the interview, use equipment that makes CD quality sound. This includes an Olympus DM10 and a lapel mike. You can convert the recordings to mp3 or wave files.
If you want to interview someone, you can just get one of those Y jacks at Wal-Mart and two lapel mikes. Set that up in the corner between you and you have really good quality sound. I’ve done this a million times. I interview people a lot. You can even do this over the phone as you want to.
You may be saying to yourself, "Now why would I want all these recordings?"
This part really is the easy part, because you just take the interview and have somebody transcribe it for you, or you transcribe it yourself. You can also use the recordings as a bonus product to add value to your overall package.
What I’m trying to get across is recordings can be a very easy way to write your ebook in 1 month, especially when you’re interviewing other people who are basically writing it for you.
