Bonuses are like gravy when you are selling ebooks or other information products. People demand value, especially with information products, and including bonuses is a great way to add value to your product.
Many online shoppers are leery of buying information products. They worry that the product won't deliver on its promises; they want to be assured that they can get great results using your ebook. By adding bonuses, you alleviate those concerns, especially when the value of your bonus material exceeds the value of your original product.
When you add loads of valuable bonuses, your customers will be more likely to buy your PDF e-books - after all, with so many great bonuses, it's a terrific bargain! Write a truly incredible e-book for your readers, then knock their socks off with added bonuses to encourage strong sales.
There are all sorts of bonuses you can add, including videos, free reports, other e-books, audio recordings : the only limit is your imagination. As a general rule of thumb, when selling digital products, you should include digital bonuses. When customers purchase your PDF e-book or site membership, it doesn't make sense to ship a physical product - it's complicated, and adds to the costs of your product. However, if you are selling (and shipping) a physical product, then physical bonuses are a logical choice.
So where can you find quality bonus material at little or no cost to you?
Start by Googling "free ebooks" on your topic. For example, I recently searched for "asthma free ebook". This quick search allowed me to find other ebooks written on asthma. Those other authors jumped at the chance to share their ebook virally.
Before you can use someone else's ebook, read the fine print. Some authors give permission for their ebooks to be shared; others do not. While most authors of free ebooks permit you to share their material, they don't permit you to sell their material (unless, of course, they share in the profits). So go ahead and share - add these valuable bonuses to your ebook or other information product.
You can also find great bonuses by searching online directories. By doing a search for "article directories", you can find thousands of online articles which may be added free as a bonus for your customers. Make sure that the author gets credit, including a brief bio and contact information at the bottom of the article. Two of my favorite sites include www.ezinearticles.com and www.articlecity.com, great sources for bonus material.
Collect a series of ten or more articles, and bundle them together. Use them to create a special report for your customers - you can even customize these reports by adding a brief commentary at the end.
Use those three great sites to find incredible bonuses and add value to your ebook. Using this method, you can beef up your sales - once customers see your great value, they won't be able to resist! Always give the customer more for his money, and you will enjoy healthy profits and a thriving business. Stay tuned for more articles on killer bonuses, how to find 'em and where to use 'em.
