Lazy Weekend at the Farm

This weekend we "get" to spend at my parent's farm. We have been on the road for a few weeks and it is nice to be here with my parents & brother's family. Tonight is a birthday party for both my dad and mom. Everyone (except for 3 of us) went swimming at the next door neighbor's pool.
Isn't summer a great time to take it easy every once in a while? I can get so caught up in our business and planning for our next book conference that I often forget to stop and "smell the roses". Since we returned from Alabama, I have tried not to rush off to the computer for just a little more work (or blogging-I'm addicted). We are in Texas for just a couple more weeks and I need to enjoy the short time we have left with our family and friends.
