Prudent Teens - Future Entrepreneurs

Here's a verse for discussion this week...
Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord. Proverbs 19:14
Earthly fathers should provide an inheritance for their children. Unfortunately, today our society encourages you to spend everything you have on YOURSELF, and does not encourage you to provide an inheritance for your children. An inheritance can come several forms. In this verse, a dad might provide a home, as well as money for his children. Now, you may not be able to afford to give a new, top-of-the-line home, BUT you might be able to give your children the skills to build their own home. This will be an inheritance that will always be with them.

Our heavenly father provides something beyond money and houses. He blesses with a prudent wife. Being prudent is a virtue when it comes to handling money and making wise decisions. Prudency is a trait that should be valued, especially today. When a husband has a prudent wife, he should praise her - not only to her but to others as well. She is truly a blessing from the Lord. A wife who is prudent with the family's money will bless everyone in that family.

For those young people who are not married, they should look for character qualities in a future spouse beyond physical traits that the world is screaming at them every day. If they marry a prudent wife, they will receive a blessing from the Lord. Look for someone who makes wise decisions in financial matters and daily concerns. If they do, they will avoid a multitude of problems in their marriage. If you have a teenager, begin to discuss what type of spouse they should marry. From this verse, a young man would be wise himself if he looks for a prudent young woman to marry. He will be blessed.
